Privacy policy

How we collect, use, share and protect personal information, on this website and when you work with us.

1. About this policy

HomesPlus is the trading name of Al-Rukn Al-Thabit Real Estate Company (for buying and selling real estate), a limited liability company registered with the Companies Control Department in Jordan under number 72793, with its head office in Amman. In this policy, “HomesPlus”, “we” and “us” mean that company.

This policy explains how we collect, use, share and protect personal information: on our website, homesplus.me, when you contact us, and when we work with you to buy, sell, rent or let a property. We are responsible for the personal information described here.

If you have a question about this policy or about your information, write to privacy@homesplus.me.

2. Information we collect

When you contact us:

  • Through the contact form on our website: your name, email address, phone number (optional), what you are interested in (buying, renting, selling or a general question), how you prefer to be contacted, your message, and the listing or project you are asking about.
  • By WhatsApp, phone, email or social media: your name, your phone number or account name, and whatever you choose to tell us.

When you work with us as a buyer, tenant, seller, owner or landlord, we may also collect:

  • contact details, such as your phone numbers, email address and postal address;
  • your date of birth;
  • copies of identity documents, such as your national ID card or passport;
  • property documents, such as title deeds, building permits and owner authorisations;
  • the contracts you sign, such as brokerage, sale and lease agreements;
  • payment and bank details for commissions, deposits or rent;
  • notes about your requirements, budget, viewings and offers, and about our conversations with you.

If you ask us to market a property, we also collect its address and location, photos and videos of it, and the name and phone number of anyone who gives us access to it, such as a building caretaker.

When you use our website, we and our service providers collect:

  • the pages and listings you view, the searches and filters you use, and the links you click, such as our WhatsApp and phone links;
  • technical information: your IP address, browser and device type, operating system, language, the website that referred you, and an approximate location worked out from your IP address;
  • identifiers that Google and Meta store in cookies or similar technologies (see “Cookies, analytics and advertising”).

3. How we use your information

We use personal information to:

  • reply to your enquiry and follow up by the method you prefer;
  • arrange viewings and help you buy, sell, rent or let a property, including negotiating and preparing contracts;
  • check identity and ownership, and complete and register transactions where required;
  • market properties that their owners have asked us to market;
  • send you listings or updates you have asked for;
  • keep business, accounting and tax records and meet our legal obligations;
  • understand how our website is used, fix problems and improve it;
  • measure our advertising and show our ads to people who have visited our website;
  • protect our website and contact form from spam, fraud and abuse.

We do not sell personal information.

4. Our legal basis

Depending on the situation and the law that applies, we rely on:

  • your consent, for example when you send us an enquiry or ask us to act for you;
  • the need to take steps you ask for before a contract, or to carry out a contract with you;
  • our legal obligations;
  • where the applicable law allows it, our legitimate interests, such as keeping our website secure and understanding how it is used.

Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time (see “Your rights”). Withdrawing consent does not affect what we did before you withdrew it.

5. Who we share it with

We share personal information only where needed for the purposes above:

  • The other side of a transaction: for example, the owner or landlord when you want to view or make an offer on their property, or a prospective buyer or tenant when you list a property with us.
  • Other real estate brokers we work with on a particular property or client.
  • Lawyers, notaries and other professional advisers involved in a transaction.
  • Government bodies, such as the Department of Lands and Survey and municipalities, to register sales and leases, and authorities or courts where the law requires it.
  • Service providers that handle information on our behalf: Cloudflare (website hosting and security, our website database, email delivery and video), Google (business email through Google Workspace, Google Analytics, Google Ads and Google Maps), Zoho (Bigin, our client records system) and Meta (WhatsApp, and the Meta Pixel for advertising).
  • A buyer or successor, if our business is sold or reorganised.

Google and Meta also use some of this information for their own purposes, as their privacy policies describe: policies.google.com/privacy and www.facebook.com/privacy/policy.

6. Cookies, analytics and advertising

Our own website code does not set cookies. The services below set cookies or use similar technologies when you visit:

  • Google Analytics measures how our website is used: the pages and listings viewed, searches, clicks on our contact links, page loading speed, and your device and approximate location. We have turned on Google Analytics advertising features: Google signals (which links visits to signed-in Google accounts for cross-device, demographic and interest reports), audiences we can use in Google Ads to show our ads to past visitors, and user-provided data collection, which sends Google a hashed (scrambled) copy of details you type into our contact form, such as your email address, to improve measurement. We and Google use first-party cookies (such as the Google Analytics cookies) together with third-party cookies and identifiers (such as Google advertising cookies) to measure, report on and target our advertising. Google Analytics keeps website data for 14 months.
  • The Meta Pixel records your visit and what you do on our website, such as the pages and listings you view, your searches and your clicks on our WhatsApp and phone links, and sends this to Meta, both from your browser and through Meta’s Conversions API. Meta’s automatic advanced matching is turned on: it sends Meta a hashed copy of details you type into our contact form, such as your name and email address, to match your visit to a Meta account. We use this to measure our ads and to show them to people who have visited our website. Third parties, including Meta, may use cookies, web beacons and other storage technologies to collect or receive information from our website and elsewhere on the internet, and use that information to provide measurement services and target ads.
  • Cloudflare Turnstile checks that contact-form submissions come from a person, not an automated program.
  • Google Maps shows listing and project locations. When a map loads, Google receives your IP address and browser details.
  • Cloudflare Stream plays our property videos.

Cloudflare, which hosts our website, also keeps technical logs of requests to it, including IP addresses and browser details, for a short period for security and troubleshooting.

7. Your choices about cookies and ads

8. WhatsApp and other links

Our website links to WhatsApp, Instagram and other services. Some WhatsApp links fill in a message for you, such as the listing you were looking at; nothing is sent until you press send. When you message us on WhatsApp or follow us on Instagram, Meta handles that information under its own terms and privacy policy. Other websites are responsible for their own privacy practices.

9. Transfers outside Jordan

Our service providers store and process information in other countries, including the United States and countries in the European Union. When we transfer personal information outside Jordan, we do so as the applicable law allows, and we use providers that commit to protecting it.

10. How long we keep information

We keep personal information only for as long as we need it for the purposes in this policy: for example, while we are helping you, while a contract we arranged is in force, and afterwards for as long as we need to meet legal, accounting and tax obligations or to deal with disputes. When we no longer need it, we delete it or make it anonymous.

Google Analytics keeps website data for 14 months.

11. How we protect it

We limit access to client records to the people at HomesPlus who need it, protect our systems with access controls, and use encrypted connections (HTTPS) on our website. Enquiries sent through our website are not publicly accessible. No system is completely secure; if a breach affects your information, we will tell you and the authorities where the law requires.

12. Your rights

Depending on the law that applies to you, you can:

  • ask whether we hold personal information about you, and get a copy of it;
  • ask us to correct or complete it;
  • ask us to delete it, or to limit how we use it;
  • object to how we use it, including for marketing;
  • withdraw your consent at any time;
  • ask us to transfer information you gave us to another organisation, where the law provides for this.

To make a request, email privacy@homesplus.me. We may ask you to confirm your identity first. We aim to reply within 30 days. We may have to keep some information, such as records of completed transactions that the law requires us to keep.

If you are not satisfied with our reply, you can complain to the data protection authority where you live. In Jordan, that is the Personal Data Protection Council.

13. Marketing messages

We send marketing messages, such as new listings that match what you are looking for, only if you ask for them or agree to receive them. To stop them, reply “stop” or tell us at any time.

14. Children

Our services are for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you think a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

15. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will publish the new version on this page with a new “last updated” date and, if the changes are significant, take reasonable steps to let you know.

16. Language

This policy is published in Arabic and English. If the two versions differ, the Arabic version prevails.
